We're a team of sleep nerds โ not doctors, not mattress salespeople, not influencers being paid to tell you to buy a $400 pillow. Just people who got tired of waking up wrecked and thought, "This has to be a solvable math problem."
Turns out it kind of is. Your brain runs on predictable 90-minute cycles, and the difference between waking up sharp and waking up groggy is usually just... timing. That's the whole insight this site is built on.
Our approach
We read the papers. The Walker papers, the AASM guidelines, the CDC public-health data, the circadian research from labs like Eastman's and Duffy's. No bro-science, no "hustle harder, sleep less" nonsense. If we make a claim, it comes from peer-reviewed research or major sleep-medicine organizations โ and we cite our sources right on the page so you can check our work.
We also believe sleep tools should be free and genuinely useful. The web is full of calculators that gate the helpful part behind a paywall or bury it under pop-ups. We're not doing that.
Medical disclaimer
Nothing on this site is medical advice. Our calculators use population-level averages โ 90-minute cycles, ~15-minute sleep onset โ that work well for most people but not everyone. If you have chronic insomnia, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, or any sleep disorder, please see a sleep specialist, not a website.
